The Huron 16 is ideal for cottagers and recreational paddlers who want a sturdy canoe for paddling flatwater and small rivers, but don't need the depth and capacity of the Prospecteur 16. The Huron 16 is cut from the same mold as the Prospecteur 16 but we've reduced it to 12.5 inches, down from 14.5 inches. The lower profile reduces weight and makes it easy to paddle in windy conditions solo or tandem.
