Eddyline Kayaks Sandpiper 130 Kayak Review
The Sandpiper 130 from Eddyline Kayaks is the larger model to the original Sandpiper 12 and a new to our line of recreational kayaks for 2019. At a mere 49 lbs, it is a welcome addition after the discontinuation of Wilderness Systems Pungo 120 Ultralite.
Getting in and out of the kayak is a breeze with its large cockpit, and the ample width of the Sandpiper offers stability that even the most tentative of paddlers will appreciate. This also means more room to bring along a small child or dog, while giving you confidence to take that expensive camera with you too!
Different from the 12’ model, the Sandpiper 130 includes Eddyline’s Cloud 10 seating system for great comfort. Better yet, the seat can be easily removed and used as a beach chair while relaxing on shore between outings. Padded knee supports along the cockpit rim make bracing softer on your thighs allowing you stay on the water longer!
Combining the additional length with a Vee-shaped hull, the Sandpiper 130 offers improved tracking over the shorter version. The hard chines increase secondary stability and provide exceptional responsiveness to slightly leaned turns.
Constructed from lightweight, UV resistant thermoform material, the Sandpiper 130 is a tough and reliable kayak that only weighs 49 lbs! This means easy cartopping and less worry when it comes to durability.
- Hatch areas with rigid bulkheads bow and stern for watertight storage and positive buoyancy
- Retractable carry handles bow and stern along with security loops for cable locks and towing attachment points
