Become certified and insured to teach kayaking across Canada.
Course Dates
We are hosting Paddle Canada's Level One Instructor Course. Learn the skills required to teach others how to enjoy this sport successfully. In this four-day course, you will learn different teaching and learning styles to communicate effectively with paddlers of different levels. This course will give you the time and space to learn and practice teaching theory and practical instructor skills while on the water and the shoreline.
The instructor course participants should know the outline of a Level One Kayaking course. Participants of the instructor course should also have solid paddling skills.
Successful participants can teach a Level 1 skills course, a Basic Skills Course and offer assistance on a Level 2 Sea Kayaking skills course.
